Activity
I for one welcome our not-half-bad acoustic Stairway overlords.
@Mike Pirnat: Just a random thought. Let's say you have a computer. Then let's say that said computer has terminal beep and or audio bell enabled. *Then* let's say you're in a tutuorial where people are conentrating on the presenter and his presentation.
It *might* just be me, but I might expend the tremendous energy necessary to mute my computer, or turn off the beep.
Not saying that anybody did this, but ya'know... just a random thought. =)
@jason kirtland: sliderepl (slide runner?) is great--it really added a lot to the SQLAlchemy tutorial this afternoon. Thanks!
Breakfast
FYI,
If you are looking for something more substantial than coffee and donuts the Double Tree next door has a sit down restaurant that serves breakfast.

@Bruce Frederiksen: Bruce: Catch me around, or text me on 571 484 6266 to set something up!
General information for attendees and speakers
Two new pages on the PyCon site:

@Daryl Spitzer: Thanks for your comment on my column, Darryl. Look me up at PyCon and we can share a pint!
@Phil Hassey: I hope to find time soon to try tinypy on Altera's Nios II embedded processor.
@Ian Bicking: Ian: looking forward to seeing you again and sharing a pint or two. Also we never got round to that interview - will there be time after the main con?
@Michael Foord: I follow your blog. Great stuff! Also, I bought Movable Python while ago.
@Ben Bangert: My personal favorite pizza is Lou Malnati's, but another good place would be Gulliver's: http://tinyurl.com/35yncb -- it's a bit closer I think (if you have a car), has an amusing ambiance, and can take larger groups more easily.
@Ian Bicking: Hopefully you know of a good place for some classic Chicago style pizza.... and of course an appropriate pub for St Patty's day ;)
@Philip Jenvey: This is the first time I've seen a picture of you. Cognitive dissonance! Though I'm not sure if I had a picture of you in my head otherwise...
Schedule planner now available
Thanks to Doug Napoleone's work, the PyCon schedule planner is back this year, at http://us.pycon.org/2008/conference/schedule/.
You can use it to lay out your conference ahead of time: click on events and talks you'd like to attend, and then e...
