Stairway

I for one welcome our not-half-bad acoustic Stairway overlords.

Just a random thought. Let's say you have a computer. Then let's say that said computer has terminal beep and or audio bell enabled. *Then* let's say you're in a tutuorial where people are conentrating on the presenter and his presentation.

It *might* just be me, but I might expend the tremendous energy necessary to mute my computer, or turn off the beep.

Not saying that anybody did this, but ya'know... just a random thought. =)

sliderepl (slide runner?) is great--it really added a lot to the SQLAlchemy tutorial this afternoon. Thanks!

Breakfast

FYI, If you are looking for something more substantial than coffee and donuts the Double Tree next door has a sit down restaurant that serves breakfast.

The Weather During PyCon

We're getting close enough to PyCon to look at the weather forecast. You should certainly bring at least a light jacket and gloves; bring a heavier jacket if you're not used to cold temperatures. According to Frommer's Portable Chicago, the av...

Of course you should be using Python for that damn website... ;-)

I hope to find time soon to try tinypy on Altera's Nios II embedded processor.

I enjoy your column in Python Magazine.

Thank you for mock.

Comment to: Ian Bicking

Ian: looking forward to seeing you again and sharing a pint or two. Also we never got round to that interview - will there be time after the main con?

Comment to: Stephan Deibel

What can I say? I love Wing. Thank you.

Comment to: Michael Foord

I follow your blog. Great stuff! Also, I bought Movable Python while ago.

My personal favorite pizza is Lou Malnati's, but another good place would be Gulliver's: http://tinyurl.com/35yncb -- it's a bit closer I think (if you have a car), has an amusing ambiance, and can take larger groups more easily.

Comment to: Ian Bicking

Hopefully you know of a good place for some classic Chicago style pizza.... and of course an appropriate pub for St Patty's day ;)

after all these years =]

This is the first time I've seen a picture of you. Cognitive dissonance! Though I'm not sure if I had a picture of you in my head otherwise...
